Silly Season News
An Occasional Look at What's Happening in the News - with a Sully/Silly Slant
Today - 'Barry & District News' Thursday 12th June 2008 (page 39)
SULLY Spartans received good news last week when their application to represent the village in the National Village Knockout Cup was accepted.
A spokesman said: 'This is great news, not just for the club but for the village of Sully. But heaven help us if we come up against one of the big boys.' With the club's friendlies and now cup games being played on a Sunday a meeting is to be arranged with the community council to seek priority use of the home ground, Burnham Avenue, on a Sunday, from next season.
Anyone wishing to play, especially from the village, can contact Spartans' sponsors the Sea Shore Grill, tel 20530012
